CARMEL, IN – November 15, 2009 -Jocham Harden Dimick Jackson’s Director of Business Development, Amber Burton Small, appeared as a guest on “Navigating the Legal System,” for Co-Parenting Matters radio show on BlogTalkRadio. The show focused on options for parents who are divorcing or involved in a family law case. Amber, a certified paralegal for more than 12 years, discussed JHDJ Law’s practice and the development of collaborative law and mediation in Central Indiana. Working with prospective clients, Amber helps them determine if an alternative to litigation is appropriate for their situation and selects one of the firm’s family law attorneys best suited to their case. In addition to working with prospective clients, Amber manages marketing, advertising, business development and public relations for JHDJ Law. She also serves as Adoption Coordinator for the firm’s Adoption Practice Group, helping birth and adoptive parents find matches in the domestic adoption program. A 1994 graduate of Indiana University, Amber received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences and her paralegal certification (1997). She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Management.
Amber is committed to organizations which provide assistance to women and children and is an active volunteer, having served with several charities including Heart of Sailing, Giving Sum and The Fatherless Foundation. Amber also volunteers as site coordinator for the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Ask a Lawyer Program and was recognized by the IBA in its 2008 Hall of Fame for her volunteerism to its service programs.
