CARMEL, IN – January 12, 2010 – Attorney Michele Jackson, who chairs the Adoption Practice Group of Jocham Harden Dimick Jackson (JHDJ Law), has released an adoption video featuring information for birth mothers. JHDJ Law offers a domestic adoption program representing prospective adoptive parents. Although Ms. Jackson represents clients who are seeking matches with birth mothers, the video’s purpose is to reach out to birth mothers to let them know that there are resources available. The video includes an interview with a birth mother who shares the honest and emotional story of her decision to place her child for adoption. The video features a contact number answered 24 hours/day by a licensed mental health counselor (not an employee of the law firm) who can assist women in obtaining expectant care (social services and counseling during their pregnancy) as well as a referral to an attorney who will provide them with legal representation. Ms. Jackson believes that the adoption process benefits when all parties are represented by independent legal counsel and her clients are willing to pay those fees for birth mothers.Adoption-Considerations for Unplanned Pregnancy
