FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY NAMED TO BOARD OF INDIANAPOLIS BAR FOUNDATION
CARMEL, IN – December 10, 2008 – Attorney and Mediator, Stephenie S. Jocham, has been elected to the 2009 Indianapolis Bar Foundation Board of Directors (IBF). Ms. Jocham was previously named a Fellow of the IBF and is a past-chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution section of the Indianapolis Bar Association. The IBF funds a variety of programs furthering its mission to advance justice and promote positive change in the Indianapolis community through philanthropy, education and service. In 2007, the IBF provided $151,168 to fund various community programs and initiatives.
Ms. Jocham is a founding member of Carmel law firm JOCHAM HARDEN DIMICK JACKSON, PC, where she practices in family law and civil litigation, serving as Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section. As a registered domestic and civil mediator, she concentrates on providing mediation, arbitration and collaborative law services for her clients. She earned her Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis and her undergraduate degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She has been a featured speaker on topics of interest in the areas of family law and alternative dispute resolution including: Hot Tips from Hot Attorneys (June 2007); Family Law Arbitration (October 2006); and Pro Se Mediation - A Mediator's Perspective (January 2006). She also periodically conducts mediation training (Public Policy Mediation Training, IU School of Law–Indianapolis, August 2005, January 2006, August 2007, August 2008).
Ms. Jocham is active in her community, volunteering for the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Ask a Lawyer and Legal Line programs and for a crisis intervention hotline. She has provided pro bono and reduced cost legal representation for clients through Heartland Pro Bono Council and the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Modest Means Program. Previously, she served for several years through the Junior Leagues of Evansville and Indianapolis. Ms. Jocham currently serves on the National Alumnae Board of her alma mater, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
